Chill and ambient music from French Veteran artist Ben Popp.

Ben Popp has nothing to do with genres, having at its core a pop rock them yet the songs has such a classy coolness you can’t help but think that those avant-garde chill have transpired through the decades to this record. So, it is immediately familiar but absolutely fresh and original. Taken as a whole, listening to this album is like taking a stroll through someone else’s dreams. The soundscapes are lush, propelled by forward by rich jangling guitars, shimmering pianos and vibrant melodies.

Maybe it's because he sings in his native French, this makes the songs intriguing. At a push Benjamin could be compared to Serge Gainsbourg with those french sensibilities, it's the "Creme de menthe" as Dell Boy would say."

A laid back tune with a sensual voice accompanying music with a wide ranging set of atmospheres. Sometimes it tends towards rock nroll, sometimes towards pop music or reggae, but its always hybrid. The French singing also reinforces the feeling one has of listening to something romantic whereas Ben Popp could be whispering into your ear horrible things about ordinary mens unhappy loves.
